Basic Training

Demystifying CT: Begin your journey with VGSTUDIO MAX
Learn the essentials of VGSTUDIO MAX in this interactive e-learning course. You'll explore the software interface, master visualization techniques, and perform basic analyses.  

Learn at your own pace with slides, videos, and practical exercises. Test your knowledge and practice your skills. Live expert-led sessions provide a chance to ask questions and dive deeper into the software. 
Target group

New users of VGSTUDIO MAX, researchers in the fields of life sciences, paleontology, and archaeology or related disciplines, as well as users whose license does not include any add-on modules.

Content

The training covers:

  • CT basics
  • User interface and data handling
  • Navigation and data visualization
  • Creating images, animations, and reports
  • Segmentation
  • Surface determination (isovalue-based)
  • Gray value analysis and basic analysis principles
  • Simple alignments
  • Basic measurement – instruments

Public training courses work exclusively with selected training data provided by VG Academy.

Admission requirements

None.  

Additional requirements for e-learning: 

  • A system that meets the regular system requirements for running VGSTUDIO MAX
  • Dual screen setup for running VGSTUDIO MAX on one screen while watching the learning content on the other screen
  • A minimum of 8 GB RAM, recommended is 16 GB RAM
  • 3-button mouse with scroll wheel
  • Depending on the environment, a headset/headphones may be useful
  • Stable internet connection (min. 5 Mbit/s, recommended: 10 Mbit/s)
Pricing

The price includes 180 days of access to the learning platform, training materials, and a certificate.

  • EUR 1,400 per person for courses conducted by VG Academy Germany (plus VAT, if applicable)
  • EUR 1,400 per person for courses conducted by VG Academy Singapore (plus GST, if applicable)
  • USD 2,120 per person for courses conducted by VG Academy USA (plus VAT, if applicable)

Note: Add-on modules and advanced features are not covered in this training.

Access to the e-learning platform is possible at any time, with the start date tailored to your preferences.

The e-learning material is available for 180 days.

Training dates for live classroom training courses are available on request.

Language: This training is only available in English.
